A Farm to Table Experience

Owned by Iloilo chef superstar Pauline Gorriceta-Banusing, lifestyle restaurant Farm to Table serves delightful and healthy brunch to dinner selections made from local, seasonal and fresh farm products. Upon entry, I just can’t help but notice the lovely interiors and a wide collection of wine and Filipino craft beers. The food is enchanting, inventive, and cleverly created.

Coming from the phrase ‘farm to table’, the lifestyle restaurant uses fresh produce and local ingredients – that includes ‘organic vegetables, meat from grass-fed cows and free-range chicken and eggs among others’. It also supports the ‘farm to table’ movement that advocates for local, seasonal, fresh, and organic products as a means to connect consumers to the source of their meals.

“I have fond memories of my weekends on the farms of my father in Passi and Pavia, Iloilo. There I would run after the chickens, feed the pigs, and drink juice straight from the sugarcane. Sweet memories. Farm to Table is the fruition of my desire brought about by my childhood as I grew up loving hearty and comfort food that did not have processed ingredients, refined sugars, and trans fats. It has been my desire to have a restaurant that uses local ingredients such as organic vegetables, meat from grass-fed cows and free-range chicken and eggs among others.
