New BPO in Iloilo: Around 1,000 positions will be available as a new business process outsourcing (BPO) company will rise in Iloilo City. TELUS International will open its first site outside Manila by mid-March at SM Strata.
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, in a statement, welcomed the development.
“They will provide 1,000 more job opportunities, both for agent and support, offering competitive salaries and benefits for our fellow Ilonggos. Many of our residents had lost their jobs due to the pandemic, and we are very happy to see that a lot of industries expressed their interest in investing in the city. This will help cope with the effects of the decline of the economy,” states Treñas.
