“When something goes wrong, it’s in the news. When something goes right, it’s in Feature.”

.

Your Bottomless Iced Tea to Literary Refreshment. Born out of a passion for literary diarrhea, Feature was conceptualized in the hope of bridging readers to a variety of interesting articles – on absolutely anything under the sun – and creating a community where people can write content in the way that they want to. After all, Feature is all about fun – celebrations and good living. Conceptualized during the 4th quarter of 2013, Feature existed as a vague logo made from Pizap – bold and italic, looking constipated in a default background setting. Nevertheless, in our eyes, it was an epiphany of a hopeful renaissance.

Our Humble Beginning. We had our fair share of humble beginnings as a plain Facebook page with barely enough likes to view our insights, and with articles published as notes. Surprisingly, on December 14, 2013, a group behind the name Digital Wingspan, made a way to make this petite and simple little concept of ours into a reality. The Feature philosophy is quite simple, we write for fun. We write for enjoyment. We write for emphasizing the little things in life worth appreciating. We write to revive empty souls of ours into something eternal, ethereal – in an online paper we call the Internet. In short, we enjoy writing and we put love into every article that we do.

It was a few years back when I began to follow blogs. I used to blog way back 2012 when I began posting discarded articles from my client. If you’ve seen me post about ‘how many calories in a banana’ or ‘how to trim down in a week’, those were probably excess articles that my client no longer needed. How was I able to transition to ‘news and feature stories about the city of love’? Well, Iloilo is too beautiful to not write about.

Transition to Feature Iloilo. How was I able to transition to ‘news and feature stories about the city of love’? Well, Iloilo is too beautiful to not write about. Officially known as the City of Iloilo, Iloilo City is a highly urbanized city on the southeastern tip of Panay Island. It is the capital of the province of Iloilo as well as the center of the Iloilo-Guimaras Metropolitan Area, regional and primate city of the Western Visayas region. Iloilo City is bordered by Oton in the west, Pavia in the North, and Leganes in the Northeast. it is a conglomerate of former towns, now districts, namely: Villa Arevalo, Iloilo City Proper, Jaro, La Paz, Mandurriao, and Molo. From Feature, the blog transitioned to Feature Iloilo. Feature Iloilo is a blog providing news and feature stories about the City of Love. I also had the rare opportunity to become a member of the Iloilo Bloggers, Inc., an organization of bloggers in Iloilo.

PhotoDear reader, first and foremost, thank you very much for visiting my humble website. It’s been a ride. As the saying goes, it’s not where we’re going to that matters, but the journey of getting there is. So tis better to enjoy every step we take from growing up, to growing old. I’ve been to 26 now new years and met a lot of people throughout the years. And, like the aging years, it’s a pleasure growing old with you all. Wrote this January 1st of 2015: It’s 1am UAE time. Probably 5am Philippine time. Had the clock struck twelve while watching some scenic pyrotechnics at the Burj Khalifa Dubai on live streaming. A few hours back, had a brief video call with Mom. Got me thinking: Sure, the UAE new year – with the pyrotechnics – is pretty much fancy. However, home seemed special, so much special. Although the ‘watusi’, ‘rebentador’, and ‘sinturon ni hudas’ is minuscule compared to the pyro-choreographed show, home will always win my heart. Well, the new year signifies new dawn – a fresh new opportunity to make new beginnings. As always, this reminds us of early mornings where we can have the opportunity to make things right and to refresh our mindset into setting it to what really matters. For this year, I am grabbing the opportunity to make things right and focus on things that really matter. This year, I am choosing ‘happiness’. I am choosing ‘me’. Have a prosperous new year everyone. Let’s all go for happiness. Let’s go for choosing what really matters in life. Let’s go for ‘us’. Let’s go for our hearts – for happy new starts and new beginnings. A new dawn awaits us. I do hope you enjoy reading as I did writing.

On the other hand, we’re simply a chip off the old block who’d like to give a shot at advertising. Feature is an online magazine that offers easy-breezy articles to lighten up the day. Our core concept: to give literary joy to the online humankind. Feature bubbled up into the online world last December 14, 2013. A month later, we had a humble increase in viewers. In one month, our pageviews grew to 1,196. Our tender heart SEO gave it a humble organic search with a 1.6% bounce rate. All in all, we had 109 visitors in one month. It’s not much, but hey, our sole purpose for putting this up is to connect with other websites who’d like to take their internet visibility one notch higher. To sum it up, we’d like to give you a hand in your advertising. We provide website and social media publishing. This includes event coverage, establishment feature, and press release accommodation.
