Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Iloilo: The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair is set to happen in the Province of Iloilo, the first in Region VI, on December 9 and 10 at the Guimbal National High School in Guimbal, Iloilo. It will be the ninth installment of the serbisyo caravan which aims to cover all 83 provinces nationwide.

Congresswoman Janette L. Garin, together with Miagao Municipal Mayor Oscar ‘Richard’ S. Garin and Congressman James ‘Jojo’ A. Ang Jr. of the Uswag Ilonggo Partylist, will serve as the local host of the event.

With 50 participating national government agencies, over 160 services will be offered to 80,000 expected beneficiaries during the two-day festival of services in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair – Iloilo. A total of 900 million pesos worth of programs and services (as of December 08) will be brought to the province, and 200 million of which will be in the form of cash assistance.

Among the services offered by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will be a province-wide payout in all 27 municipalities which is expected to reach over 33,000 individual beneficiaries amounting to 100 million. Other province-wide activities include various scholarship programs of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), as well as livelihood assistance to various sectors in pre-identified eligible clients across Iloilo.

The opening program will be held at the Guimbal National High School on December 09, 10am, wherein agencies will be conducting ceremonial turnover of over 30 programs. House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez will represent Ferdinand “Bong Bong’ Marcos Jr. and shall be the Keynote Speaker and Guest of Honor. Department of Health Secretary Teodoro Javier Herbosa, Commission on Higher Education Chairperson Propero ‘Popoy’ De Vera III, Department of Migrant Workers OIC Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) President and CEO Emmanuel R. Ledesma Jr. will also be in attendance.

On the first night of the Serbisyo Fair, a Pasasalamat Concert will be held at the Guimbal National High School Track and Field Oval with free admission. The Pasasalamat Concert is expected to draw a crowd of at least 10,000 people.

About the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair. The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) is a convergence of national agencies’ programs and projects and has officially rolled nationwide, bringing over 100 government programs and services. The BPSF is the country’s largest caravan of government services as it is set to visit all 83 provinces and eyes to serve 2 million Filipinos.

Government agencies providing social and medical services, livelihood support, educational assistance, performing regulatory functions, and other agencies and government-owned or controlled corporations (GOCCs) mandated to complement bureaucratic efforts to boost the capabilities and potentials of the country are the key components of the service caravan.
