Just recently, the Calinog Taekwondo Association jins and coaches participated in the 3rd Congressional District Sports Association Meet hosted by the Municipality of Cabatuan. Twenty one athletes from the said taekwondo association joined in the ‘poomsae’ competition and ‘kyorugi’ competition.
‘Pomsae’ or patterns are a set sequence of movements consisting of various fundamental stances arranged in an order in response to attacks from multiple imaginary assailants. ‘Kyorugi’, meanwhile, is an actual fight between two competitors using offensive and defensive skills acquired through taekwondo practice.
