Call for Musicians to Unite for a Cause

Emman Abatayo, Ilonggo singer/songwriter and former Pinoy Dream Academy finalist, calls for Ilonggo musikeros to participate in ‘United by Music – Aid to Fight Coronavirus’. Abatayo will be hosting a mini-concert online via Facebook Live Stream to raise funds for the frontline health workers of Iloilo City.

“Let’s support one another and help our city during this coronavirus outbreak,” states Abatayo. After the performance, he will nominate three artists/bands to do the same – host a mini-concert online via Facebook Live Stream and nominate more artists/bands. Abatayao aspires that the movement will reverberate throughout the entire Ilonggo music scene.

“Gusto ko mag unite bilog na musikero sa Iloilo and maka help,” Abatayo states. He also created Musicians Unite Iloilo MMXX, a Facebook page providing details of the campaign and how viewers can extend their help to the cause.

According to Abatayo, musicians of all genres are welcome.

Moreover, donations gathered from this activity will be used to purchase medical supplies and other essentials and will be donated to the frontline health workers of West Visayas Medical Center.

Update: Passion Pit partners with Musicians Unite Iloilo MMXX. Passion Pit Bar + Cafe partners with Musicians Unite Iloilo MMXX by offering its venue as a drop-off for donations.
