The Iloilo Provincial Capitol will close on August 03 and 04 after a certain employee tested positive of COVID-19, announces Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. To date, the staff is asymptomatic and is now housed in a quarantine facility.
The two-day closure is intended for the total disinfection of the Capitol building, as well as Casa Real. Moreover, contact tracing will be underway and all capitol employees are encouraged to minimize their movements while investigations are undergoing to prevent a possible spread of the virus.
Contacts of the person who tested positive of the virus will be tested. Testing will be in accordance with the classification of contacts – high, medium, or low-risk contacts.
A list of offices that will reopen on August 05 will be announced on Tuesday evening.
