Capitol Releases Guidelines for Stranded Ilonggos

Recently, the Iloilo Provincial Government releases Memorandum Order No. 21 detailing the guidelines in the processing of returning residents of the Province of Iloilo and the designation of focal persons. The order was signed by Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr., May 07. In facilitating the return of Iloilo residents, the following guidelines should be observed. This includes the following:

1-a Those coming from Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) Areas as designated by the Inter Agency Task Force for Management of Infectious Diseases, the following certifications are required prior to reentry:

  • Negative Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) Test Result prior to travel; Certification of Acceptance/Undertaking of the LGU destination that they will accept the returnees and subject them to quarantine at a common Quarantine Facility (not home quarantine); Certification from the Local Health Unit of the place of origin that the returnees have undergone the 14-day quarantine and does not exhibit signs and symptoms of COVID-19 infection; and Certification of the Governor allowing entry to the Province.

1-b Those coming from General Community Quarantine (GCQ) Areas as designated by the Inter Agency Task Force for Management of Infectious Diseases, the following certifications are required prior to reentry:

  • Certification of Acceptance/Undertaking of the LGU destination that they will accept the returnees and subject them to quarantine at a common Quarantine Facility (not home quarantine); Certification from the Local Health Unit of the place of origin that the returnees has undergone the 14-day quarantine and does not exhibit signs and symptoms of COVID-19 infection; and Certification of the Governor allowing entry to the Province.
