Carlo’s Food Express Launched

Just recently, the RJT Group of Companies composed of Carlo’s Bakeshop and Café, Ang Kamalig, and Geronimo’s launched The Carlo’s Food Express. The Carlos Food Express is a new channel for customers, serving as the ‘online kitchen’ of the RJT Group. It can be recalled that the RJT kitchen, commissary, and bakeshop remained operational during the Enhanced Community Quarantine serving around 92,000 food packs under the leadership of the company’s president, Mrs. Rosalia Sarabia Treñas.

“Demand is definitely still there but consumers now require safety, convenience, and access, aside from quality and value for money hence the pickup and delivery channels. We also came out with new items such as more frozen ready to eat food, given the demand for frozen food this quarantine period,” states Sales and Marketing Director Paolo Treñas. Treñas assures that all sanitation protocols (availability of facemasks, vitamins, and alcohol to employees) are observed.

Among those available in the Carlo’s Food Express include Ilonggo favorites Dinuguan, Callos, Rellenong Bangus, Tapa, Tocino, and more. Platters such as Bam-I, Chicken Lollipop, Callos Palabok, Breaded Fish Fillet, Pork Barbeque, Bakareta, including Carlo’s bestsellers such as Pork Dinuguan, Spring Chicken with Rice, Fresh Lumpia, Smoked Bangus, and other local delicacies such as Turon, Puto Cheese, and Macaroons are available.

Moreover, the kitchen accepts payment via COD, prepayment via BDO transfer, GCash, PayMaya, and Palawan Express. Pickup is at Carlos Bakery Café located in Dungon and a station is assigned for pickup. Delivery is also available via third party suppliers such as Move Iloilo, Grab, Lihog, Substr, Zoom, Maxim, etc.

“It’s basically just answering the call of the Ilonggos to have good affordable food available. We just want our customers to be happy, but most of all be safe in their homes. And as some go back to offices, or work from home, they can still get their favorite food to them without going out. In the end, it’s all about what customers want, how they want them, when and where they want them. That’s keeping up with them in the new normal,”Treñas concludes.
