Cebu Pacific to ramp up domestic connectivity for Iloilo and Negros: The Philippines’ leading airline, Cebu Pacific, intends to increase flight frequencies in its Iloilo and Negros routes in the last quarter of 2021. As the ongoing vaccine rollouts on both local and national levels pave the way for the gradual reopening of leisure travel around the country, CEB is optimistic that more Filipinos are raring to fly again.

CEB intends to increase Bacolod-Manila flights up to 10x weekly in November from twice weekly in October, and up to 17x weekly in December. It also currently operates Bacolod-Cebu once a week and intends to raise the frequency to 3x weekly in November and December.

The airline plans to raise its Iloilo-Manila daily flights up to 11x weekly in November and up to 18x weekly flights in December. It also intends to resume its direct Iloilo-Cebu flights in November with a thrice-weekly service.
CEB also hopes to increase its Dumaguete-Manila flights of 5x weekly to daily in December, while it plans to resume its Dumaguete-Cebu flights in December with 2x weekly operations.

“We remain cautiously optimistic for what’s to come. Through our stringent measures of safety and security in our operations, we believe that every Juan will be more confident and excited to fly and rediscover domestic destinations again soon,” said Carmina Romero, Corporate Communications Director at Cebu Pacific.

CEB also continuously transports life-saving vaccines across its widest domestic network, including to these three destinations. To date, the airline has transported over 2 million vaccine doses to Iloilo; close to 450,000 doses to Bacolod, and almost 225,000 doses to Dumaguete. Since March 2021, CEB has transported over 18.5 million doses to 27 domestic destinations.

To further inspire and enable more Juans to fly, CEB consistently offers its trademark low fares. Currently, it has an ongoing PHP 99 seat sale for the whole month of October, with a travel period up until April 30, 2022. CEB has been rated 7/7 stars by airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance as it continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety, in accordance with global aviation standards. These include daily extensive cleaning and disinfection protocols for all aircraft and facilities, antigen testing before duty for all front liners and crew members, and contactless flight procedures. Its jet fleet is equipped with hospital-grade HEPA air filters, keeping viruses at bay. To date, CEB has vaccinated 96% of its flying crew and expects to complete employee inoculation by October this year.
