The Zoning Office of the Iloilo City Hall is placed under strict quarantine and its five employees subjected to testing for coronavirus. This, following a trip to a resort in Anini-y, Antique where the Regional Director for the Bureau of Fire Protection (Western Visayas) also went while en route to Boracay.
It may also be recalled that an employee of the Bureau of Fire tested positive for coronavirus and has breached quarantine protocol prior to receiving test results.
Iloilo City officials investigated and found out that the City Planning and Development Office / Office of the Zoning Administrator (OCZA) went to the same resort on June 13 and 14. Moreover, the BFP personnel also visited the resort last June 06 to 07.
“The following was gathered from the other personnel of OCZA who had information about the reported trip of their co-employees as relayed to them by the direct participants who at that time of this investigation were out of the office and were being tested at the Jubilee Hall, Mabini Street,” states Ruben Torres, the City Zoning Chief.
