COVID Cases Exceeds 1.1 Million Globally – globally as of 2:00am CEST, April 06 – there have been 1,174,866 confirmed cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), including 64,541 deaths according to the World Health Organization.

In terms of region, Europe has the highest number of cases at 621,407 followed by Americas (352,600), Western Pacific (112,524), Eastern Mediterranean (73,077), South East Asia (8,125), and Africa (6,421). In the Philippines, as of April 05, there have been 3,094 confirmed cases + 76 confirmed new cases.

In terms of country/territory/area, the United States of America has the highest number of cases at 307,318, followed by Spain (124,736), Italy (124,632), Germany (91,714), China (83,005), France (67,757), Iran (58,226), United Kingdom (41,907), and Turkey (23,934).

WHO also reported that as China emerges from a two-month containment phase and moves into the mitigation stage, its experience in helping countries that are currently at the start of the COVID-19 cycle.
