DOT, DOLE to Provide Financial Assistance to Tourism Industry

The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) signed a Joint Memorandum Circular to provide financial assistance to displaced workers in the tourism sector as part of the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act (Bayanihan II).

Those qualified are the displaced employees of DOT-Accredited Primary and Secondary Tourism Enterprises and LGU-Licensed Primary Tourism Enterprises; members of registered Community-Based Tourism Organization; and displaced DOT-Accredited and LGU-Licensed Tour Guides.

Additional beneficiaries include those under the DSWD Social Amelioration Program (SAP) and COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) under Bayanihan I; and establishments that implemented the Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) and Alternate Work Schemes.
