“It is with a heavy heart that I announce we have a frontliner from the Iloilo City Emergency Responders (ICER) of the City Government who was tested positive for COVID-19. Rest assured we are giving our all-out support not only to the affected responder but to the entire CDRRMO team,” states Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, in a statement via social media.
The mayor also added that all operations of the emergency response team have been stopped. Moreover, all members are now under quarantine and have tested for the disease.
“All other ICER personnel are now under quarantine because of this, and they have ceased operations for the meantime. We will be waiting for all their PCR Test. Results to be released before they resume their life-saving responsibilities. Please pray for them, and other COVID-19 heroes,” adds Treñas.
