According to the National Wages and Productivity Commission, employees who will report for work on April 9 are entitled to 300% of their daily wage rate. This is because two regular holidays, Araw ng Kagitingan and Maundy Thursday, fall on the same day.
Also, for those who will perform more than eight (8) hours are entitled to triple overtime pay. Meanwhile, employees who did not report on the said date are still entitled to 200% of the daily wage rate.
Araw ng Kagitingan is a national observance which commemorates the fall of Bataan during World War II. Meanwhile, Maundy Thursday is a Christian holy day falling on the Thursday before Easter.
