Overseas Filipino Workers as well as flights from abroad will be allowed entry to the country. According to National Task Force COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez, all inbound flights will be accommodated starting May 08. To add, temporary restrictions on flights will be lifted as well.
However, Galvez clarifies that only 400 to 500 passengers will be accommodated.
“Pero i-lilimit lang po natin to 400 to 500 po, para at least, kayang-kaya po nating i-manage,” states National Task Force COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez.
It can be recalled that the Department of Transportation announced the suspension of international inbound flights from May 03 to 09, as per the request of Galvez. He also affirmed that the government has not imposed limitations on outbound flights. Moreover, the chief implementer also explained that the imposed moratorium is to ramp up the capacity of the government to process OFWs being brought home on a daily basis.
