Here is his official statement:
“Creating a healthy environment for my beloved Ilonggos is one of my visions when I started my term thus, we have planned for the establishment of the City Hospital and our Dialysis Center. In East Baluarte, equipment for our Dialysis Center was inspected and will be serving patients very soon. We will provide free treatment to our beneficiaries, my dream that had come to fruition. This is just the beginning of more health facilities that will serve our people. We will continue to move forward to a safer and more resilient Iloilo City.”
Dialysis is a treatment that filters and purifies blood using a machine – thus keeping fluids and electrolytes in balance when the kidneys could not function well. Dialysis removes waste, salt, and extra water to prevent these from building up in the body; keeps safe level of chemicals in the blood such as potassium, sodium, and bicarbonate; and helps control blood pressure.
