As the community quarantine eases in selected areas in the country (transitioned to GCQ and MGCQ), the Inter-Agency Task Force has finally allowed outdoor non-contact sports and exercise activities under the Modified General Community Quarantine and General Community Quarantine.
According to the agency, the following activities are now allowed: walking, jogging, running, biking, golf, swimming, tennis, badminton, equestrian, skateboarding, among others. Minimum public health standards such as wearing masks and physical distancing are to be observed. Moreover, the sharing of equipment is not allowed.
“Under IATF Resolution Number 38 now allows the indoor and outdoor non contact sports provided that minimum health standard will be maintained such as wearing masks and social distancing will be obrserved and no sharing of equipments. Please be guided accordingly. And please keep safe and follow these protocols, its for the good of everyone,” states Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Trenas.
