The Iloilo City Council recently approved a Php 2.3 million supplemental budget for the construction of a dialysis center in Barangay East Baluarte in Molo. Moreover, the Department of Health will donate four dialysis machines.
“This project is one of our priorities to address the health needs and concerns of constituents,” states Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treňas. Apart from a dialysis center, Treňas also eyes the construction of the Iloilo City Hospital.
“We already had a briefing with the regional DOH office for the establishment of a city hospital. They will start with the building construction as soon as we secure the lot requirement,” Treňas adds.
The Iloilo City Hospital will be a Level 1 or 50-bed capacity hospital.
“Healthcare is always a priority for me, so together with my team I am trying my best to upgrade healthcare services in Iloilo City,” the mayor stated earlier this year.
