The Iloilo City Government, in a Facebook post, revealed that a mid-rise condominium is eyed for low-salaried regular employees. The proposed condominium is set to be constructed in Brgy. San Isidro in Jaro at the portion of the existing Uswag Subdivision relocation site.
A vacant space of 2,741-square meter is said to be suitable for the proposed project. The initial project will have around 120 to 130 units, dimension per unit is speculated to be 30 sq.m. The construction, three buildings, is expected to start within the second quarter of 2020. Construction period will be 18 to 24 months.
According to Roy Firmeza, Head of the Iloilo City Urban Poor Affairs Office, the beneficiaries will be regular employees with a salary grade of 10 and below, in consideration of the low-income earners. Moreover, Firmeza advised employees who are interested in becoming beneficiaries of this program to prepare documents showing that they have served the city for not less than five years, as part of the requirements.
