Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, in a Facebook post, calls for a trash-free Dinagyang celebration. It can be recalled that Dinagyang 2020 was formally opened with yesterday’s ‘opening salvo’. The opening salvo provided a preview of tribe performance that will set stage on 25th for Dinagyang 360.
“With the success of the Opening Salvo of Dinagyang Festival 2020 that happened earlier today, everyone is now excited for the most festive season in Iloilo. With our desire to bring Iloilo City to the next level, we will also level up your Dinagyang experience. However, I would like to appeal to each and every one of you to keep our city clean by disposing your garbage properly,” states Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas.
“As your Local Chief Executive, together with the IFFI, we will do our best to give you the kind of fun and festival you deserve, but I hope that you also help us in keeping our city clean especially during the Dinagyang events. Let us all be responsible individuals. Let us showcase to the world what a beautiful city we have and a city we are proud to call home. Together let us enjoy Dinagyang 360. And give honor to Sr. Sto. Niño,” he adds.
