In a bid to revive and revitalize the local economy, the Iloilo City Government together with the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc., Philippine Chamber of Commerce Iloilo Chapter Inc., Obra Ilonggo, and the Iloilo Hotel Restaurants and Resorts Association (IHHRA) initiates ‘Iloilo Market Market 2020’.
Iloilo Market Market 2020, slated on September 25 to 27 at SM Southpoint, will be showcasing the rich Ilonggo culture and heritage, as well as the thriving micro, small, media enterprises (MSMEs) and industries in the new normal.
According to Junel Ann Divinagracia, of the Iloilo City Tourism Office, the Iloilo Market Market 2020 is driven by the goal of jumpstarting the economy of Iloilo City.
“Under the new normal, it can’t be denied that we have been affected by this pandemic one way or another especially MSMEs. We want to serve as catalyst to these affected businesses and provide an avenue where they can promote their local products and services for the Ilonggo community. We are all have been compromised by COVID19 but as Ilonggos, we still adapt, persevere and move forward to overcome these challenges,”states Divinagracia.
