A Php 43.5 million financial aid is said to be released by the Iloilo Provincial Government to Local Government Units – a total of 42 towns and one component city – as assistance in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. reveals that there is a need to capacitate the 43 Local Government Units that have drained resources since the enhanced community quarantine was implemented. Read more: Iloilo Provincial Government to Release P43.5 million in financial aid to LGUs.
Each LGU is entitled to receive Php 1 million and will be used for the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPEs), thermal scanners, medicines, and supplies. Moreover, it can also be used for the purchase of food packages to front liners.
