Iloilo City Districts

District of Mandurriao, Iloilo

District of Mandurriao: Iloilo’s central business district. Mandurriao, one of the seven districts of Iloilo City, is the second-largest by land area as well as the third most populous. It is the site of the developing Iloilo midtown area and is seen as the commercial and financial hub of Iloilo City.

Megaworld Iloilo Business Park: The Iloilo Business Park came to fruition when leading real estate developer Megaworld Corporation brought the 72-hectare township to the City of Love, investing billions of pesos in its development. The Iloilo Business Park is envisioned to be ‘the central business district’ in Iloilo City, housing the Iloilo Convention Center, Megaworld Lifestyle Mall, luxury condominiums, state-of-the-art BPO towers, boutique hotels, and a 1.1-kilometer long Festive Walk Parade serving the best of local and international cuisine in a unique alfresco setting. The township was hailed by PropertyGuru as the ‘Best Township Development in Asia’ at the 2018 Asia Property Awards.

Iloilo Convention Center: Completed in 2015, the 1.7-hectare (4.2 acre) Iloilo Convention Center sits inside Iloilo Busines Park. The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority allocated P200 million for its construction while Priority Development Assistance Fund of Former Senator Franklin Drilon contributed another P250 million.

The structure is inspired by Iloilo festivals Dinagyang and Paraw Regatta. It has a total floor area of 11,832 square meters (127,360 square feet). The main hall, located on the ground floor, has a 3,700-seating capacity with additional 500 seating capacity on the function rooms at the second floor. Moreover, the 1,500 square meters (16,000 square feet) rooftop cater to outdoor functions.

Condominium Properties: ‘All that matters, within your reach’ is the tagline of Megaworld as it is all about creating advantages to suit needs. At Iloilo Business Park, Megaworld boasts its roster of condominium projects in the City of Love. Saint Honore, The Palladium, Lafayette Park Square, and One Madison Place are some luxury residential condominiums currently in development. The mentioned condominiums are part of Iloilo Business Park, Megaworld’s prime township project in Iloilo.

Property giant Megaworld Corporation is undeniably one of the top real estate companies in Asia and by far an exemplary condominium developer in the Philippines. The company, founded by Andrew Tan, was incorporated under Philippine law in August 1989 to engage in the development, leasing, and marketing of real estate. Over the years, the company established a reputation for building high-end residential condominiums and commercial properties nestled in urban locations with easy access to offices and leisure amenities. Moreover, the end of the dining strip is Casa Emperador, housing the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Arts and the Brandy Museum.

  • Update as of August 2022: In a bid to cement the support of Iloilo to the Korean community, Festive Walk Iloilo launches K-Town, the ultimate Korean destination in the City of Love. Festive Walk Iloilo, nestled within Iloilo Business Park, has transformed the alfresco dining strip into a Korean-themed abode. A grand launching was held last August 26 to celebrate the opening of K-Town and to strengthen the ties between Iloilo and Korea. The grand launching was graced by Mr. Graham Coates, First Vice President of the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls; Ms. Karmela Jesena, General Manager of Festive Walk Iloilo; dignitaries from the Iloilo Korean United Community Association, and other guests. Event highlights include performances from Thy Kingdom, Sidlangan, Zenin, as well as from Tiktok Star Dasuri Choi and Miss Universe 2020 Rabiya Mateo. Moreover, the ceremonial lighting of lanterns was held to signify the official opening of K-Town.

“K-Town is a first-of-its-kind event in the lifestyle township. It’s an outdoor food celebration that gathers the community to feast on the best of Korean and Ilonggo cuisines. The wide selection of eats is perfect for those who hunt for new flavors to try or those who want to taste their favorites all in one place. Guests can then dine in and enjoy their meals in a beautifully designed alfresco area,” excerpts from the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls website.

“To create K-Town, we have converted the entire stretch of Festive Walk Parade to this modern and beautiful space that is filled with Korean restaurants, outdoor establishments, installations, decorations, and more. We look forward to seeing Filipinos especially Ilonggos, Koreans, and of course other cultures enjoy the activities and take their loved ones here,”said Karmela Jesena, General Manager of Festive Walk Iloilo.

Festive Walk Mall: Property developer Megaworld opens its first full-scale lifestyle mall in VisMin, the Festive Walk Mall, in its Iloilo Business Park township in Mandurriao. The Php 2.2-billion Festive Walk Mall offers 90,000 square meters of gross floor area of shopping, dining, leisure, and entertainment, highlighted by Iloilo’s most state-of-the-art cinemas.

Said to be Iloilo’s ‘most beautiful mall’, Festive Walk Mall’s design resembles tropical influences with its indoor gardens around the property. Its third level is highlighted by The Deck, an open space featuring gardens and greeneries where the chapel is located. Festive Walk Mall was recognized with the Highly Commended Award for ‘Best Retail Architectural Design’ at the 2018 Philippines Property Awards – the first for any mall in the whole of Western Visayas.

Festive Walk Mall is Megaworld’s 17th lifestyle malls in the country. Among the flagship malls under the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls brand include Uptown Mall in Uptown Bonifacio, Venice Grand Canal in McKinley Hill, Southwoods Mall in Southwoods City, and Eastwood Mall in Eastwood City.

Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Arts: Nestled within the Casa Emperador Building at Megaworld’s Iloilo Business Park, the Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Arts is the first museum in the Visayas dedicated to modern and contemporary art. The 3000 square meter property houses exhibition rooms, a souvenir shop, and a theater facility.

The Iloilo Museum of Contemporary Art (ILOMOCA) is Megaworld’s first-ever museum located at the Iloilo Business Park, the company’s township development in Western Visayas. The facility proudly embraces the distinction as the first art institution in Visayas and Mindanao exclusively dedicated to showcasing the works of mostly Filipino and Ilonggo artists within modern and contemporary art.

Brandy Museum: There’s a lot to be excited about at the Brandy Museum. Every bottle of Spanish brandy shares a history waiting to be discovered. Now, liquor connoisseurs and enthusiasts have the opportunity to explore a variety of liquor in the country’s first-ever Brandy Museum by Emperador Inc., the Philippines’ biggest liquor company and the world’s largest brandy manufacturer.

“Spanish brandy is one of those few drinks that many Filipinos can easily associate with some of their happiest, most treasured memories. This is why we are very excited to bring the first and currently the only Brandy Museum in the country, which we believe will give our guests a newfound appreciation for one of our most beloved liquors,” says Kendrick Tan, executive director, Emperador, Inc.

First Brandy Museum in the Philippines is in Iloilo. Opening a museum that celebrates the heritage of Spanish brandy in Iloilo Business Park is no coincidence. During the Spanish rule, in 1889, Queen Regent Maria Cristina raised the Iloilo City’s status into a Royal City of the South and was soon after conferred the title ‘La Muy Leal y Noble Ciudad’, or The Most Loyal and Most Noble City. Important artifacts on display in the Brandy Museum includes books, letters, traditional wine- and brandy-making tools, samples of soils used to grow grapes, and rare, old Emperador brandy bottles. Audio-visual presentations showcasing are also available.

General Martin Delgado Monument: On January 2019, Megaworld paid tribute to the Visayan revolucionario with its iconic General Martin Delgado monument in Iloilo Business Park. The 8.8 meter bronze statue is a masterpiece created by Spanish sculptor Gines Serran-Pagan, one of the world’s most renowned international contemporary artists.
