In a social media post, MORE Power Iloilo provided updates on this morning’s (September 24) Panay wide blackout. It may be recalled that the power interruption occurred 10:07am. Here is the official update:
The affected area(s): Whole Panay Island and a portion of Negros Occidental

- Molo F 2 online at 11:02 AM
- Molo F 4 online at 11:03 AM
Tripped off (Mandurriao F 4, Molo F 2 & 4: 11:25 AM
Cause: Due to the unstable voltage supply
- Molo F 4 online at 11:40 AM
- Molo F 2 online at 11:50 AM
- City Proper F 1 online at 12:13 PM
- City Proper F 2 online at 12:18 PM
- Mandurriao F 2 online at 12:19 PM

The power supplier requested for Manual Load Drop (MLD) at 1:00 PM due to insufficient power supply:

At 1:24 PM, NGCP released an advisory stating that:
“At 10:13AM today, Sept.24. NGCP monitored a grid disturbance affecting distribution utilities and electric cooperatives in Panay and Negros. The cause is still being determined. We will post updates as they come.”
At 1:43 PM, MORE Power implemented rotational brownouts.
