MORE Power’s Mobile Substation Arrives in Iloilo

MORE Power and Electric Corporation’s mobile substation has recently arrived in the City of Love. The cargo arrived last Sunday at the Culasi Port of Roxas City and was transported to the metro. The mobile substation is said to have a 10MVA capacity and costs around Php 50 million.

Moreover, the said mobile substation has the capacity to reduce around 25MVA to 30MVA load from the Power Transformer of the Mandurriao Substation which is currently on a critical level due to the emerging commercial districts and malls that it serves.

“Mobile Substations are solutions to temporary power outages to ensure the continuous flow of electricity while MORE continues to rehabilitate the electric distribution system of Iloilo City. It can also be used to supplement the load being supplied by current substations, such as the Mandurriao substation that is currently at critical levels,”excerpt from the social media post of MORE Power Iloilo, the official Facebook page of the company.

MORE, to date, is still expecting an additional 30MVA mobile substation that will serve as an alternative when existing substations need to be repaired or rehabilitated.

This is part of the modernization and development program of MORE Power.
