You know you have lived long enough when you need a stimulating activity to be able to feel something. In this case, a nostalgic trice by visiting a former home. Way back in highschool, from 2001 to 2005, I used to live in Pag-ibig Subdivision, LJ Ledesma in Jaro – first house on San Nicolas Street. Thirteen years later, I passed by the structure that housed a few memories. I guess I must have lived long enough because that didn’t nudge a tear in my eye. Funny how nothing seems to move you anymore.
On the other hand, we came across a coffee shop / convenience store just outside Pag-ibig Subdivision. I just can’t quite recall what stood there way back 2005 – before the gasoline station and the coffee shop. The shop’s name is Samantha’s Coffee Shop. I am guessing the owner’s name must be Samantha – or the store is named after a significant person named Samantha. I apologize, I didn’t do any interview. I just sat there with my milkshake thinking about homes and memories – which provoked a thought: are we still capable of creating more memories after having been acquainted with some? Would I be able to visit this place again after ten years and think about the day I thought about the memories I had? Lols.
The milkshakes at Samantha’s are really something – we ordered Vanilla Milkshake (Php 90) and Oreo Milkshake (Php 95). Figured it is best paired with Oreo Cheesecake. Samantha’s offers a variety from short orders to combo meals, as well as Japanese (Donburi, Katsudon, Ramen, and Maki). They also offer hot and cold beverages, from coffee to smoothies, and my favorite, milkshakes. Don’t miss out on the milkshakes.

Samantha’s Coffee Shop is located at Brgy. Buhang, beside the entrance of Pag-ibig Subdivision, LJ Ledesma, Jaro, Iloilo. If you live in Pag-ibig Subdivision or nearby, this is a nice place to hang out.
