In an official statement issued by Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, he revealed that Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon has not been feeling well since August 26 and has been admitted yesterday, August 27.
Here is the official statement:
“I am asking all our beloved Ilonggos to pray for the speedy recovery of Vice Mayor Jeffrey P. Ganzon. The Vice Mayor started not feeling well on August 26 when he experienced vomiting and fever. He had a laboratory workup, and his X-ray showed he has acute onset pneumonia. As health protocol, he was swabbed and given antibiotics upon going home since all of his lab results showed bacterial infection. He was quarantined and isolated at home.
The family had him admitted yesterday when he again vomited so he can get proper medical attention. His rapid test last night showed negative results, while his swab test result has not yet been released. Upon my advice, his family and all close contacts were swabbed and ordered to go on strict home quarantine so as to ensure everyone’s well-being.
Together with the Vice Mayor’s family, we are fervently praying for his speedy recovery, even as we also hope for negative RT-PCR results for everyone. Please include him and his family in your prayers. Thank you.”
