Province Borders to Remain Closed During GCQ

According to Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr., the province’s borders will remain closed for the entire duration of the General Community Quarantine. Defensor clarified that only travel between Iloilo City and the province will be allowed.

“During the GCQ the borders with other provinces will remain closed to non-residents, so we can protect everyone. We are not even sure if the other provinces will allow their borders to be open. But with Iloilo City, there will be no border closures,” states Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor, Jr. in a social media post of the Daily Guardian.

It can be recalled that, according to Presidential Spokesperson declared that all areas, the entire country – with the exception of the National Capital Region, Laguna, and Cebu City – will be placed under General Community Quarantine.
