SM City Iloilo took Ilonggos to a magical evening as it officially launched its highly anticipated Christmas celebration in the city, last November 10, 2019 at the Northpoint Event Center. The venue featured a magical garden filled with colors and lights, along with a 40 feet Christmas Centerpiece. Guests were entertained by Iloilo’s very own John B. Lacson Maritime University’s Kinaadman Chorale and a ballet performance by the Annie Divinagracia-Sartorio School of Performing Arts. Moreover, Idol Philippines 1st runner-up Lucas Garcia serenaded the crowd.
The event was graced by Iloilo City Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon and family, Councilor Jay Treñas, together with Mayor Jerry Treñas’ sons Carlo and Paolo. Department of Tourism 6 Regional Director Atty. Helen Catalbas and Iloilo Festival Foundation Inc. President Atty. Jobert Peñaflorida.
The mall, known for its community involvement in various sectors in the society, invited kids of Overseas Foreign Workers( OFW) and their families, as well as the Autism Society Philippines-Iloilo, and children from Iloilo City Crisis Intervention Unit.
