Panay’s Biggest Solar Power Plant to Operate in Ajuy: The 62 MWp Ajuy Solar Project of Solaris, the biggest solar power plant in Panay once completed, is now more than 90% complete and is expected to begin operations in June 2026. The project aspires strengthen power supply reliability while contributing competitively priced renewable energy.
Moreover, 62 MWp Solaris Ajuy Solar Project is recognized by the Department of Energy as an Energy Project of National Significance. It is also part of the government’s Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP). The project is endorsed by all levels of the local government units and undergone the required regulatory, permitting, and land reclassification and conversion processes in accordance with applicable national and local requirements.
With this renewable energy developments, Iloilo continues to strengthen its position as an emerging renewable energy hub in the Visayas.
