Treñas ranks 6th in RPMD job approval rating: Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas ranked 6th in the ‘Job Approval Rating of City Mayor / Per Regional Center’ survey of RP – Mission and Development Foundation, Inc. Five thousand respondents answered the question: “Do you approve or disapprove of the way [mayor’s name] is handling his/her job as city mayor?” The survey was conducted from June 10 to 25, 2021.
On the lead in the survey is Davao City’s Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio with 93% followed by Calamba’s Mayor Justin Marc Chipeco with 78%, Calapan’s Arnan Panaligan with 75%, Cagayan de Oro’s Mayor Oscar Moreno, Baguio City’s Mayor Benjamin Magalong with 70%, and Iloilo City’s very own Mayor Jerry Treñas with 68%.
Meanwhile, Iloilo Province’s Arthur Defensor, Jr. ranked 2nd as Governor with 72%.
Treñas is elated to know the result ranking.

“In every region, the City Mayor of each capital in area have been assessed by the constituents when it comes to their overall job performances or achievements. As for Governors, we chose the regional center of the provinces to gather a significant data for analysis. We are hoping that this will give our public servants a good insight on how they are doing with their constituents,” states Dr. Paul Martinez of the RP-Mission and Development Foundation, Inc. in the RPMD website.
The survey conducted by the said foundation is an independent and non-commissioned survey with 3,500 respondents in NCR conducted July 03 to 10 and 5,000 respondents across all regions for Governors and City Mayors outside NCR conducted June 10 to 25, 2021. The objective of the independent analysis is to disclose the citizens’ current opinion and assessment of their official’s performance.
