UPV marketing students highlight advertising conference: AdCon, or Advertising Conference, is an annual marketing conference hosted by senior BSBA Marketing students at the University of the Philippines Visayas in collaboration with the UPV College of Management, Marketing Society Incorporated (UPV MSI), and College of Management Student Council (CMSC). Originally known as Advertising Camp (AdCamp) until 2017, AdCon has been imparting key insights and pioneering views for the last two decades through factual and inspiring talks from field experts and professionals.

UPV Advertising Conference: Now, after two long years, AdCon officially returns with a piping hot theme: Spill the Tea: Reinventing Experiences by Unraveling Marketing Psychology Hacks! This 2022, AdCon will spill the “hottest, mind-blowingly delicious tea about the psychology behind game-changing executions and genius marketing strategies in three of the most intriguing and newsworthy centerpieces: Business, Lifestyle, and Entertainment!” And on top of these, watch out for the conference’s biggest tea in its comeback: AdCon22 will officially have three events.

Day 1: Business

To kickstart the conference, this April 23, 2022, AdCon22 Day 1 invites all to get an exclusive look into the E-commerce budol strategies, awestriking marketing designs, and unconventional storytelling marketing from a psychological lens, granted personally by experts in the industry giants. With the theme “Mind on Your Business: Leveraging on the Power of the Human Mind”, AdCon22 Day 1 sets focus on conquering the ever-dynamic and competitive business landscape.

Day 2: Lifestyle

Next, on April 30, 2022, with the theme “Unfiltered: The Latest Lifestyle Trends through Marketing Lenses”, AdCon Day 2, through its invited most esteemed set of speakers from their respective fields, is all set to begin the discussions on fandoms in fashion, inclusive beauty and care movements, and travel in the new normal. AdCon Day 2 humbly invites everyone to join in highlighting psychology in all things lifestyle becoming the next trend you cannot resist.

Day 3: Entertainment

Finally, with the theme “Marketing Steals the Show: Navigating the Entertainment Industry Off-camera!”, expect AdCon22 Day 3 to delve into the controversial—and so gripping—part of life: Entertainment! This May 7, 2022, AdCon22 Day 3 invites all to expert talks on Korean culture, PH music, and celebrity love teams as the speakers venture into the psychology and marketing behind the Entertainment industry’s starstruck success.

Moreover, 20-25% of AdCon22’s profits will go to three beneficiaries:

  • Chameleon Association Inc. Philippines
  • Tuloy Aral Walang Sagabal (TAWAG) Project for Children with Special Needs Iloilo;
  • Friends of Cancer Kids Iloilo Foundation, Inc. (FCKIFI).

For the first time in two decades, AdCon officially transitions into an interactive webinar! This means that the conference will now be open to students, professionals, and entrepreneurs from all over the country.
