World Wild Fund Philippines: WWF PH, an organization focused on building a climate-resilient Philippines, shared a Facebook post, ‘state of nature address’.The post, captioned ‘How is the country’s environment doing? This is our state of nature address. Let’s work with our government and push for a greener tomorrow’. The post was published last July 2019, in line with the fourth state of the nation address delivered by President Rodrigo Duterte.
The state of nature address, revealing the current conditions of food, water, climate, wildlife, and plastic, lobbied for sustainable food production, sustainable dining, clean water, renewable energy, biodiversity, and reduction of single-use plastic. The World Wild Fund Philippines is ‘working hard to build a future where humans live in harmony with nature, and to secure stable and sustainable sources of food, water, and energy’.
World Wild Fund Philippines is a national office of the World Wildlife Fund for Nature, formerly World Wildlife Fund, Global Network. It is present in 14 project sites across the country, and 16 of the largest Philippine cities and urban hubs. Some of the organization’s leading programs include marine conservation, forest and watershed protection, environmental education, and climate change solutions.
