Western Visayas Medical Center, in a social media post, announced its first COVID-19 recovery after the patient had tested negative on the repeat virus test. The hospital also announced that the patient has been discharged from the hospital.
“Western Visayas Medical Center is pleased to announce that our first COVID-19 recovery is discharged today after registering negative on repeat virus test. We thank our frontliners and personnel for doing a brilliant job,” says Dr. Joseph Dean L. Nicolo, Medical Center Chief II, in a social media post by the hospital.
Moreover, local newspaper the Daily Guardian posted ‘a survivor’s tale’ detailing the experience of Ronnie dela Torre de Juan, a COVID-19 survivor. In the post, the patient-survivor expressed his feelings of gratitude after surviving the viral disease that has since taken thousands of lives worldwide.
“Thanks to the Lord! Rejoice in the Lord always! Ako kag ang akon pamilya hugot gid nga naga pasalamat sa Ginoo nga ako naka fully recover na sa ginatawag nga COVID-19 as I was re-tested and the result came back negative. I am now free of COVID-19,” states Ronnie dela Torre De Juan, COVID-19 survivor.
